Florals
Considering D.I.Y. florals for your wedding or event but don’t know where to start?
Flowers: if I’m not writing a poem about them, I am probably arranging them. Floral design is a joy and a passion for me. In addition to my year+ of training and professional experience with one of Washington D.C.’s premier florists, I have developed a host of freelance wedding and event consulting offerings for anyone seeking quality D.I.Y. florals without the (often gargantuan) monetary AND emotional price tag of managing all the details yourself.
If you’re in the Los Angeles area, let’s talk!
Supporting Your Vision
You’ve got questions? I’ve got answers.
Let’s say you have a Pinterest board full of floral inspiration photos for your upcoming wedding/event. Your questions might sound something like:
- “Gorgeous! What are those big yellow ones called?”
- “I love this look. Could we really pull that off on our budget?”
- “How did they get a centerpiece to stand up like that?”
- “Are those varieties even blooming in the spring/summer/fall/winter?”
- “How many stems of greenery will be enough, do you think?”
If you are hoping for a D.I.Y. event without the head-scratching, let’s start a conversation! That’s what I’m here for.
How It Works
Set up a free, initial consultation to share your vision, your budget, and your event details. From there, we decide what services fit your needs. I offer support to clients by:
Identifying & sourcing seasonal varieties
Strategy: What can you get for your time/money?
Stem count & pricing breakdowns
On-site design & installation
The intention behind my freelance services is to help you understand the often complex world of florals and reclaim your agency in decision-making as you plan your event. These behind-the-scenes details are by far the most labor-intensive part of floral design. When you hire a florist, they do all this work for you (which is great), but they charge you for it in the final cost of the products (which is often not so great for the ‘ole bank account). Bring me onto your events team, and learn to think like a florist! Or let me think like a florist for you.
